James’ greatest passion in ministry is to see the power of God change lives. As a passionate verse-by-verse bible teacher, he calls the church to “deeper waters” in relationship, knowledge, and empowerment. His heart is to see a church that is sensitive to the Holy Spirit, while simultaneously discipling and preaching the Word without compromise.
With his faith-filled grandmother speaking into his life, James experienced the call to ministry at the young age of 8. From his youth to the present day, he has served in various areas of church leadership in church planting, discipleship, teaching, and evangelism. James served as the President of the Christian Businessmen Committee in Southern California for 15 years, only stepping down so that He and His family could be faithful to God’s call to move to North Texas.
James met his wife Pauline while serving at a Calvary Chapel in 2008. They live in Anna, TX where they are raising their two children: Joshua and Faith. Their desire for CC Deeper Waters is to lead a church body that knows God’s Word, is filled with the Holy Spirit, and has a strong love for one another.
Raul was raised in the church but did not give his life to the Lord until he was 17 at which he immediately began serving the Lord. Raul started his teaching ministry in children’s ministry, then was involved in teaching in the Jr. High and High school ministry. Raul served as part of the leadership and as a pastor of the college and young adult ministry at Calvary Chapel Downey, then as the young adult pastor at Calvary Chapel Whittier. Raul and his wife Karen have been married since 2003 and have three children: David, Katelynn, and Matthew.

Grew up in church. At 15yrs old, in 2005 on a missions trip to Thailand. This is also where he started learning guitar. He saw people his age, with no titles, no authority getting their hands dirty, selflessly serving others which had an impact in his life.

Been married for 10 yrs to Kathy, and met in church. He has two kids, Evangeline and Oliver.

Bobby was raised in the church as a child and accepted Christ at a very young age. From a very young age, he took the teachings of Christ to heart and earnestly desired to live a life of righteousness and live his life for the Lord. He has had wide exposure to different denominations and has experienced many different kinds of ministries. He has previously been
a part of a church plant that lasted for 5 years and has enjoyed the growth that different experiences bring. He has studied music and Christian ministry in school and has been a part of young adult and worship ministries for years. He has a passion for serving wherever the Lord places him, whether it is on the worship team, behind the soundboard, PowerPoint, or just plain grunt work to help out. Wherever there is a need for service, he has
the desire to help out.
